Our Staff:
At Play with Sparky™ was started by Tara Horne & her father in 2003. Russ has since retired, and Tara is still behind the scenes today. She is blessed with an amazing group of staff who place the safety and happiness of the animals in their care as the highest priority. You’ll most likely be greeted by one of our managers, Ann or Marlayna, when you come in the door. Once we’ve met your dog, we’re pretty likely to remember their name! (We’ll work on learning your name too, but let’s face it, it’s all about the dogs here!) We’ve got a few other office staff who fill in the gaps and lots of staff you may rarely see, but be assured, they are actively wearing your dog out as we speak. After more than a decade caring for the dogs of Asheville, we are pretty well-known as THE doggy daycare. Come join us!
Our Facility:
Don’t leave your dog home alone – let them play with the gang! Our facility features large indoor playrooms as well as huge, outdoor fenced yards. We host play groups for dogs of every shape, age and size. We are lucky to have a constant stream of puppies joining the fun here at Sparky’s. Many of these dogs grow up together and form bonds as they transition from puppy groups to the main play groups. It’s so much fun to watch as dogs arrive and get excited to see their friends! Play equipment, wading pools, and balls are all available to our furry friends. Occasional games of fetch will keep even the most active dogs entertained. We also have more low-key activities for older or less active dogs. At Play with Sparky has something for everyone. Your dog will leave tired & happy!
